During the past 15 years, Turbos have made their way from rides to all other aspects of Midway attractions, including ticket booths, games and food concessions. Their popularity is traced to their design, which enables the manufacturer to utilize many different colors, while the operator need only replace one small, inexpensive light bulb. This lamp is protected by the fixture's tough colorful plastic base and cap- virtually eliminating broken glass.
